ANIMATION TRAINING SESSION

We are inviting participants to join the exciting animation training program TanzAnimation 2 – organized by our partner group: Tai Plus, Film Lab Zanzibar, The Animation Workshop Denmark, Creative Viborg, and Zanzibar Adventure School. . This initiative is designed to strengthen and develop Tanzania’s animation industry by identifying skill gaps and providing targeted training to stimulate growth.
We are looking for participants from across the animation ecosystem—scriptwriters, animators (2D, 3D, stop-motion), illustrators, producers, and more. The program will bring together 20 participants from Tanzania (Mainland and Zanzibar) and 10 Danish animation peers, creating an excellent opportunity for collaboration and skill-sharing. The training sessions will take place in Zanzibar from 19 January to 1 February 2025. Transport, meals and accommodation costs will be covered during the training.
Supported by the GLOBUS-Foundation under the Danish government, TanzAnimation will run from October 2024 to July 2025. We will start by conducting a baseline survey, thereafter design a needs-based training program, and then provide the training during the two-week residency workshop for the Tanzanian and the Danish participants.
