This Fête de la Musique, we join forces with BASATA to celebrate the timeless beauty of Taarab music, a genre that flows through our roots and sets sail in our hearts. Known for its poetic lyrics, rich melodies, and coastal charm, Taarab connects generations and traditions through sound. Join us on 20th June for a special evening dedicated to this treasured musical form, as we honour its rhythms, instruments, and legacy in Tanzanian culture. A night of musical storytelling awaits featuring Dar Modern Taarab, Segere, East African Melody and DJ set by Midimu Collective.
