4th July 2026! Join us for our “Ya Kwetu” Zine Workshop. We will be personalizing the topic of decolonization (kuondoa urithi wa ukoloni) and how you, as Afrikan youth, practice this form of resistance via your daily life choices. RSVP and submit your favorite graphics by scanning the QR code! Together we will collage kitenge, magazine cutouts, quotes, and your thoughts into zines that carry young Tanzanian’s creativity, culture and voices.

We will curate your final pieces into a magazine and send it you digitally. At the workshop we aim to answer questions like: what is colonial legacy, decolonization and the role of youth in decolonization.

We believe participating in intellectual dialogue on current events creates a more engaged and informed Tanzania. We’ll be debating current events and simulating public polling together. @kesho.trade , our sponsor, is an upcoming startup built by Tanzanian youth. This prediction market is made for Tanzanians to express opinions and shares on real life outcomes in the country via financial trades. The Demo is live on Kesho’s website, link in their account’s bio.
