HORIZON UTAMADUNI TALKS

Like a kaleidoscope, the multifaceted image and identity of a country manifest itself differently depending on one’s perspective and outlook. But then, how does one apprehend the fluid, dynamic, and ever changing expression of a country’s cultural horizons?

To answer this question, the ‘Horizon Utamaduni’ project seeks to bring together the experience and knowledge of a multidisciplinary group of artists, activists and academics from both 🇹🇿 and 🇫🇷.

Working in pairs, and through the angle of their own expertise and backgrounds, each duo will aim to explore a different manifestation of the Tanzanian cultural identity.
The first collaboration, focusing on the topic of Afrofeminism, will conclude with a public discussion held at the @af_dar Dar es Salaam, on the 7th of March.

In commemorating International women’s day, the discussion will be graced with the presence of our Ambassador @as.ave and @ruth_makundi , Executive Director of @feminahip , who will conduct two Horizon Utamaduni Talks.
