JUMBA EXHIBITION: PIECES
October 17 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

We are excited to announce the third chapter of Jumba Bovu Exhibitions, titled PIECES. Developed over the past three months across Mfuruni, Kipera and Choma in Morogoro, Tanzania, this collaborative project brings together the artist Turakella Editha Gyindo, local farmers and the Choma community through collective farming, material exploration and artistic experimentation.
PIECES explores art as an economy of observation within a landscape continually remade by wind, water, growth, decay and the movement of living things. These site-specific ecological installations consider arrival and attention as part of that changing ecology, asking how the meanings we give a place participate in its transformation. The intervention is curated by Jesse Gerard Mpango and will take place in Saturday the 17th October 2026 in Choma, Morogoro, Tanzania.
The intervention is free and open to the public.
Food and drinks will be provided.
Please register in advance by calling, texting or emailing the contact details shared on the poster, so we can plan the logistics and arrangements for the event accordingly.
This project is supported by the Feel Free Grant Programme, implemented by Nafasi Art Space with support from the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam.
