ABENEKO & THE POSITIVE MIND Led by Abeneko, a cultural activist, Tanzanian contemporary live performer, singer, songwriter, guitarist, and choreographer and event curator, Abeneko & The Positive Mind blend traditional and modern East African sounds. Their music fuses singeli, funk, Afro-fusion, and rich East African melodies, combined with dynamic traditional dance and rhythms.

Their mission is to promote Tanzanian traditional and contemporary music, dance, and culture through powerful performances. They have graced major festivals across East Africa, including Sauti za Busara, Bayimba, and Karibu Music Festival, and have toured Germany, Denmark, Finland, and the USA.

Renowned for their high-energy live shows, the band captivates audiences with storytelling, entertainment, and thought-provoking messages that address global politics, cultural and social issues.
