This amazing band features members from across Zanzibar and Tanzania mainland, who met at Dhow Countries Music Academy in Zanzibar. With diverse cultural influences, their music uniquely combines local rhythm with Afrobeat and western styles such as Rock, Jazz and Reggae Music.
Inspired by Remmy Ongala, Fela kuti, Miriam Makeba, B.B King, Bob Marley and Ali Farka Toure. Stone Town Rockerz play songs that speak meaningfully to the people of East Africa and beyond.
