kindly join us on 1st November 2024 for the grand finale of the Dinembo project – a powerful celebration of tattoo artistry, African heritage, and the transformative ritual of the body.
I @xlim_xwaggz i will be one the participating artist on this project so dont plan to miss this for our culture.
This event marks the beginning of a movement to reframe tattoo artistry , drawings on centuries of African tradition and embedding it within the context of mordern artistic practice as a form of restitution and decolonization in Tanzania and beyond.
What to Expect:
-Exploration of the ritualistic and spiritual significance of tattooing
-An artistic journey rooted in African tattoo traditions
-Discussions on how tattooing can play a role in restitution and reclaiming African identity
-Introduction of wounderful traditional flashes form artists
