Call for Participants: WONDAR LABS 2nd Edition

Are you a visual artist or performer eager to push the boundaries of your craft?
Do you thrive in collaborative environments where creativity knows no bounds?
Join us for the 2nd edition of WONDAR LABS, an exhilarating exploration of performance, visual art and site specific performances.

Dates & Workshops:
1. Performance and Costume:
Dates: May 6th – May 11th

Unleash your imagination as we delve into the symbiotic relationship between performance and costume design. From conceptualization to creation, discover how attire can elevate the essence of a performance.

2. Dramaturgy and Art for Public Space:
Dates: May 13th – May 20th

Craft compelling narratives and explore innovative ways to engage with public spaces. From street performances to large-scale installations, discover how art can provoke thought and catalyze change.

3. CHERISH: A series of workshops across East Africa, Art Exchange: Moving Image Project

This call is open to artists, writers, film-makers, gamers and cultural workers working with moving image and thinking through ideas of worldbuilding. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with elements of Achiampong’s unique artistic process, and workshop ongoing ideas they are developing.

To Apply for the admission of the labs
Attend auditions on May 3rd from 2pm – 5pm at @ajabuajabu
Each participant will have 2-5 minutes for their pitch, which will be divided in two parts.
1st you will perform your piece and 2nd you will elaborate on your performance and idea providing further details and explanation.

These labs are part of a wider project – WONDARLAND – which aims at facilitating conversations and experiences around personal transformation and social change through dance and the performing arts.
