DESCRIPTION:Slow Sessions is on this Thursday with another great performer! This week D’bass Ganun will take to the stage. As always it’s free entry and the live music starts at 8pm. \nHere’s a little bit of info about the artist; Mbwana Mtulia\, better known by his stage name as Dbass Ganun is a talented Tanzanian Bassist and Qanun (Ganun) player\, based in Zanzibar. He performs solo and also performs wit hhis band and his style is afro fusion. \nHis roots are from the Ndengeleko tribe in Rufiji\, and he incorporates the vibrant performing styles of traditional music with his interpretation of contemporary style to deliver a memorable performance and powerful message to audiences every time. He joined the vibrant music scene in Dar es Salaam by lending his skills to several bands and thus gaining recognition in the cultural sphere. \nHe then cast his net further through attending notable workshops and festivals that grew his expertise; ZIFF\, Sauti za Busara\, Music Crossroads\, Umoja Cultural Flying Carpet\, Doa Doa showcase. This has given him the opportunity to interact and perform alongside musicians from Ethiopia\, Zamiba\, Zimbabwe\, South Africa\, Uganda\, Kenya\, Norway and more.
