Womencraft\, born from the resilience of refugee women and hosting communities\, and Kukua\, rooted in a French designer’s 30-year journey\, converge to reimagine Tanzanian furnishings through sustainable\, locally sourced materials. \nEach installation embodies Ubuntu’s core: interconnectedness and mutual support. The Kizimkazi series presents a continuous\, sweeping sofa\, a metaphor for the unbroken connections within a community. The Pemba installation\, with a Queen armchair surrounded by Maasai chairs\, evokes tribal solidarity\, centering a shared identity. In the heart of the exhibit\, WomenCraft’s chairs and lighting form a circular constellation\, each piece resonating with the strength of unity and resilience.
