Scholars have delved into his impact on ‘black’ music\, finding his story both\ncaptivating and motivational as he transcends linguistic\, racial and cultural boundaries through his musical endeavours. Mzungu Kichaa is a musical star in East Africa\, where he broke through with the hit single “Jitolee” featuring Professor Jay. He was selected to become a judge on Bongo Star Search\, the Tanzanian\nequivalent to X-Factor\, and quickly became a public figure\, particularly in Swahili speaking East Africa. He has collaborated with African stars such as Sauti Sol\, Juma Nature and Fid-Q\, as well as Scandinavian artists including Wafande\,Kaka and Karen Mukupa.
