DESCRIPTION:After an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion in Bagamoyo at TASUBA college\, Mitazamo Yetu continues its journey to the University of Dar es Salaam. \nJoin us for Frozen Power – a contemporary dance work inspired by Liti Kidanka\, a female healer and resistance leader from Singida who opposed German colonial rule. \nThe performance explores women’s role in resistance and the restitution of human remains and cultural artefacts taken during colonial times. \nThe conversations in Bagamoyo reminded us how important Tanzanian perspectives are in shaping discussions around restitution.
