Born and raised in Musoma, Tanzania, @annakattoa‘s musical journey began with inspiration from her great-grandfather, a traditional kalimba player and singer.
Today, she carries those musical influences into her own distinctive Afro-fusion sound, blending traditional Tanzanian rhythms with jazz, blues, R&B and taarab.
With her powerful vocals, traditional instruments and infectious stage presence, Annakatoa brings a performance full of rhythm, soul and East African musical heritage.
